SECURITY ALERT! Friday 12/04/2009PC Savegames has been hacked somewhere around friday 11/13 leading to an injection of malicious code to the index page source code. The exact function and the origin of that code are unknown, my knolewdge on this subject being too limited. Nonetheless all traces of that code have been erased and the site cleaned up thoroughly.This hacking has been made possible due to a weak password on a power user account linked to the site. This account had writing rights on the site FTP access. The others accounts linked to nicouzouf.com and its synonym domains (pcsavegames.com and pcsavegames.fr) have seen their security hardened. The account concerned by the hacking has been deleted. Browsing on PC Savegames is now safe.More information on this malicious code can be found on this Google page. The site has been submitted to Google for a re-examination which can be several weeks long. During this time, Google will indicate in its search results that PC Savegames can be harmful for your computer. This is not the case anymore.This anomaly couldn't be detected before sunday 11/29 thanks to a mail from a visitor, and also contributor (jpa31 which I thanks warmfully). Being for now really busy in the private part of my life (PC Savegames is only a leisure), I hadn't the time to maintain the site since the end of august and I couldn't realise the site was hacked before jpa31's mail.I hope this hasn't generated any harmful situation for my visitors. Still I wish to express my sincere apologies about this incident, beyond my control however. I finally hope you will now have a nice time on PC Savegames. This notification will remain on top header for several weeks.

Additional memo: The game only allows 32 savegames files at a time, numbered from 0.BSS to 31.BSS. You have to keep the numerical order for your savegame files. For example, if you copy the file 15.BSS in your game directory and if your last savegame is named 10.BSS, you will have to rename 15.BSS to 11.BSS or else it won't appear in the load game menu.
